Panels Connect with Epoxied Steel Rod – Horizontal Splice

Stacking wall panels are butted together and connected with internal steel rods. Steel rods are epoxied in place.

Purpose: Transfer of vertical loads from upper panel to lower panel. Can be used to transfer of out-of-plane loads.

Design Notes

  • Capacity of connection is controlled by parallel-to-grain bearing strength of panels.
  • Connectors have tight construction tolerance.
