Panel Bears with Continuous Proprietary Shoe

Panel bears on continuous proprietary shoe. Panel is positively connected to shoe using partially-threaded screws at shoe side plate. Shoe is positively connected to concrete using post-installed anchors. Grout is provided below shoe for elevation control and bearing.

Purpose: Transfer of vertical load from panel to concrete. Can also transfer in-plane and out-of-plane loads from the panel to concrete.

Design Notes

  • Capacity of connection is dependent on the manufacturer’s literature.
  • Screws, anchors, and shoe provide load path for in-plane and out-of-plane loads.
  • Potential suppliers include Alufoot.
