Column bears on proprietary steel standoff assembly consisting of upper bearing plate and base plate separated by an adjustable standoff. Upper bearing plate is positively connected to column with partially-threaded screws. Bearing plate is connected to concrete with post-installed anchors.

Purpose: Transfer of vertical load from wood column to concrete.

  • Adjustable standoff hardware may be concealed by a sleeve.
  • Height adjustability of column base varies by manufacturer.
  • Standoff allows for architectural finishes and elevates base of column to reduce exposure to potential moisture sources.
