Building Tour: A Firsthand Look at Avalon Bay Brewer’s Hill

Regional In-Person Tour (Baltimore, MD)
This unique educational event will provide an in-depth look at the Avalon Bay Brewer’s Hill project in Baltimore. Attendees will tour this Type III multi-family project, comprised of seven stories of light-frame wood over a concrete podium. At approximately 450,000 sq ft, the development will house nearly 400 units plus amenities and commercial space.
Attendees will tour the site with project team members, who will share strategies for successful light-frame wood projects, from concept to construction. The tour format encouraged questions and discussion, and attendees can expect to leave with insights into design, detailing, and construction techniques utilized, as well as material selection and wood’s role in meeting sustainability and budget goals.
Following the tour, please join us for networking and complimentary drinks and appetizers at Gunther & Co., located just a short walk from the tour site.
PPE: This is an active jobsite. Accessibility will be limited. PPE required. Please bring your own PPE, a limited amount will be available onsite.
Credits: Attendees can earn 1.0 AIA/CES HSW LU, 1.0 PDH credit or 0.1 ICC credit
