Archie has been active in the wood and structural building component industry since 1970. His background includes various sales and sales management positions related to wood products. In particular, he has extensive experience with lumber, structural wood panels, prefabricated wall panels, wood trusses, engineered wood beams and I-joists. Jason is a career construction executive with project management, operations, and business development experience in structural precast concrete, commercial general contracting, single-family residential development, and military construction. Areas of focus include strategic planning, management, client service, employee development, and proactive leadership. A designated Design Build Professional, Jason holds a Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Tech (2017), a Certificate of Construction Management from the University of California at Davis (2006), and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Norwich University (1998). He is a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps where he served in various leadership and staff roles as a Combat Engineer Officer. Jason in based in Winchester, VA and manages the eastern US field team for WoodWorks.

He received his BS in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, and his MS in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, both with structural specialization. Prior to joining WoodWorks, Steve worked in structural design and in technical sales, and he has been a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers - Structural Engineering Institute (ASCE-SEI), the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Project Support Field Division West Experts provide one-on-one technical support related to wood building in the western US
Mark received his BS in Civil Engineering with a specialty in structures from Lehigh University, and has worked as an engineer in many capacities. He spent 11 years as a practicing structural engineer, eight years as a field engineer with Simpson Strong-Tie and six years in business development for a structural engineering firm. His primary experience includes structural calculations, design, construction document preparation, construction administration for new and existing commercial buildings, and post-installed anchorage to concrete. His structural engineering project experience includes residential, retail, hospitality, education, aviation, churches, and movie theaters. Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Texas and Oklahoma. Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo in 1979 and has 37 years of structural engineering design, plan check/peer review and investigative experience. He has been involved in the production of engineering calculations and construction documents, construction administration, field investigations and report writing for educational, commercial, industrial, medical, institutional, residential and military projects utilizing all types of building materials. Prior to joining WoodWorks, she spent 13 years working in the wood industry with a focus on the use of wood in commercial applications. She has led teams in both the areas of design and technical support. She has a strong background in team mentoring, leadership and reporting. Before that, Heather spent five years in the United States Navy followed by four years in the California Air National Guard.

Scott Breneman, PhD, PE, SE, is a licensed Structural Engineer and Professional Engineer in the State of California and Senior Technical Director of the Project Resources & Solutions Division Team of WoodWorks. Scott received bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Florida and a doctorate from Stanford University. His doctoral research entailed novel methods to reduce seismic damage to mid-rise and high-rise-frame buildings. Scott has experience with the structural design of new single-family, multi-family and mixed-used buildings; the seismic rehabilitation of institutional buildings in California; and high-end analysis and technology development. Scott is a Director on the Executive Board of the Structural Engineers Association of California, Past President of the Structural Engineers Association of Central California, an Associate Member of the ASCE/SEI 7-16 Seismic Sub-committee and Member of the ASCE/SEI Design of Wood Structures Committee.

Prior to joining WoodWorks, he was a principal in consulting structural engineering firms in Washington and Oregon, conducted third-party structural plan reviews and has served as a faculty member at St. Martin’s College in Lacey, Washington. Terry has over 35 years of wood design experience and has taken an active role as a presenter providing seminars at state and local ICC chapters and professional engineering organizations.
