SUMMARY:Oxbow Site Tour: A Firsthand Look at Mass Timber Construction
DESCRIPTION:Regional In-Person Tour (Charlotte\, NC)\n\n\nJoin WoodWorks for a first-hand look at the Oxbow project in Charlotte. This seven-story\, 423\,000 sqft mass-timber mixed-use building consists of a five-story hybrid structure of light frame with cross laminated timber panels over a two-story concrete podium. It features below-grade parking\, 389 apartments and 13\,803 sqft of retail space. Attendees will tour the site with project team members\, who will share strategies for successful\, code-compliant mass timber projects. The tour format encourages questions and discussion\, and attendees can expect to leave with insights on the project’s design\, execution\, and factors that influenced material and detail selection. \n  \nPPE (safety vests\, hard hats\, safety glasses) is required.
