SUMMARY:Tall Timber Design Seminar & CoStar Building Tour
DESCRIPTION:**This event is sold out. You can add yourself to the waitlist to be notified if any spots become available or register for the online presentation on 3/14 \nRegional In-Person Seminar + Tour (Richmond\, VA)\n\n\nThe 2021 International Building Code (IBC) introduced changes allowing up to 18 stories of mass timber construction\, creating new opportunities for tall wood design. The session will also cover critical aspects of design and construction unique to tall wood buildings\, ranging from sprinkler requirements and shaft wall considerations to fire design for penetrations and acoustics performance. \nFollowing the session\, attendees can see mass timber construction firsthand on a site tour of the 200\,000-square-foot CoStar Foundry Park South Office Building.
