DESCRIPTION:Regional In-Person Tour (San Francisco\, CA)\n\n\nThis unique educational event will provide an in-depth look at the all-mass timber South San Francisco Center\, showcasing mass timber’s application in a healthcare facility. Designers of the building utilized glue-laminated timber (glulam) columns and beams and cross-laminated timber (CLT) for floor plates to create a multi-purpose space that consists of medical offices and a clinic dedicated to community wellness support. Attendees will tour the site and learn about detailing and construction techniques utilized throughout the building.
