The 350-acre mixed-use campus comprises 12 new office buildings\, featuring regionally sourced mass timber in designs that aim to express the company’s values and prioritize views of nature and connectivity across the sprawling campus. The tour will highlight the detailing and construction techniques utilized throughout the buildings to achieve successful and code-compliant mass timber construction. SUMMARY:Building Tour: A Firsthand Look at Avalon Bay Brewer’s Hill
DESCRIPTION:Regional In-Person Tour (Baltimore\, MD)\n\n\nThis unique educational event will provide an in-depth look at the Avalon Bay Brewer’s Hill project in Baltimore. Attendees will tour this Type III multi-family project\, comprised of seven stories of light-frame wood over a concrete podium. At approximately 450\,000 sq ft\, the development will house nearly 400 units plus amenities and commercial space. \n  \nAttendees will tour the site with project team members\, who will share strategies for successful light-frame wood projects\, from concept to construction. The tour format encouraged questions and discussion\, and attendees can expect to leave with insights into design\, detailing\, and construction techniques utilized\, as well as material selection and wood’s role in meeting sustainability and budget goals. \n  \nFollowing the tour\, please join us for networking and complimentary drinks and appetizers at Gunther & Co.\, located just a short walk from the tour site. \n  \nPPE: This is an active jobsite.
