Mass Timber Building Tour (Hempstead, NY)
The Evergreen Charter School in Hempstead, NY is one of the East Coast’s first cross-laminated timber (CLT) schools. The project was designed by Martin Hopp Architect (MHA) with Odeh Engineers and is being built by Consigli. Planned for completion in 2024, this five-story, 85,000 SF utilizes cross-laminated timber (CLT), glue-laminated timber (GLT or glulam), wood-concrete composite systems, and open-web trusses. Learn more about the Evergreen Charter school on the WoodWorks blog or WoodWorks Innovation Network.
