Exploring Wood Buildings: Innovative Products and New Code Provisions

Part 1 will review innovative wood options, including mass timber, modular and prefabricated systems, and highlight their environmental benefits.
Part 2 will introduce the new tall wood code provisions and construction types, as well as the technical research and testing that supported their adoption.

BONUS SITE TOUR. Attendees will get a firsthand look at The Joinery Phase 2 which consists of two, seven-story mixed-use buildings with a total of 360 apartments, and 15,00 square feet of retail space. Each building consists of two levels of concrete podium, and five stories of a hybrid CLT / prefabricated structural system with Timberlab. Tour is from 3:45 pm – 4:45 pm.
