This 2-part presentation will cover the following topics:
Biophilic Design + Sustainable Forestry: Wood Buildings Contribute to Occupant and Forest Health – Presented by Mike Romanowski, Regional Director | CA-South, AZ, NM, WoodWorks
With an emphasis on case study examples, this presentation will illustrate how utilizing wood in projects aligns with Terrapin Bright Green’s 14 Patterns of Biophilic Design.
Carbon Footprint of Wood Products & Buildings – Presented by Kate Carrigg, PE, Regional Director | OR, ID-South, HI, WoodWorks
This course takes a brief look at the use of wood in construction and highlights some of the positive environmental benefits it can bring to a project. Basic carbon-related terminology will be reviewed along with information on wood’s carbon sequestration.
Attendees can earn 2.0 AIA/CES HSW LUs, 2.0 PDH credits or 0.2 ICC credits
