Mass Timber Office Building Site Tour in Orange County

This construction tour will provide a behind-the-scenes look at a new mass timber office building project located in Orange County. The project puts into practice the owner’s core values of “honesty, integrity and respect for interactions between employees, the greater public and community.” As such, nearly every design decision was made with the goal of improved green building performance – including the choice of hybrid mass timber construction with steel braced frames. One of the feature elements of the design is the exposed mass timber “diagrid” roof. The tour will be led by members of the project team around the time the diagrid is being installed, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions about detailing and construction techniques. Attendees can also expect to learn about the overall design approach and factors that influenced the material choice.

• Onsite tour 3:00 – 4:30 pm
• Click here for a map of visitors parking area – please do not park in the surrounding businesses’ parking lots.
• Networking happy hour 4:30 – 6:30 pm
• We will follow the safety protocols of the venue. Hard hats, vests, safety glasses, long pants, and closed toed shoes are required. Please bring your own PPE as this is an active construction site. If you do not have your own hard hat, safety vest and safety glasses, a limited supply of loaner PPE will be available on site.
• Upon registration, attendees are required to agree to the terms outlined in our COVID-19 Acknowledgment, Waiver, and Release form.
