Mass Timber Arrives in Florida in Class A Style: An Evening to Showcase Fifty West

April 22, 2020 – 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Orlando, FLOrlando, FL

$50 – $75

Over the past decade, mass timber has established a significant presence across the U.S. With over 250 built projects and another 450 in design, the perception that mass timber buildings are only being constructed in the Northwest is now far from the truth. Florida’s first full mass timber project—Fifty West in Clermont—is a three-story, 29,000-sf Class A office building that is unlike any other in the state. Join us for an evening of presentations and discussion to learn about the design and construction of this groundbreaking project. Hear first-hand from the project architect and general contractor about topics such as fire-resistance and acoustics, interfacing with building officials and permitting, material procurement, construction sequencing and moisture protection, installation techniques, lessons learned, and more. Fifty West is both educational and inspiring, and this event will equip attendees with the information to pursue mass timber on their own projects.
