An important part of WoodWorks’ mandate is to provide free one-on-one project support related to the design of non-residential and multi-family wood buildings.

Technical support is also provided free of charge via help desks operated by major wood associations:

  • American Wood Council (AWC) – The AWC help desk provides technical assistance related to engineering, building codes, standards, fire technology and research projects primarily to engineers, architects and building officials.   • APA – Specialists are available to answer questions related to the specification and application of engineered wood products and systems. Email  or call (253) 620-7400, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT.
