RISA Update Simplifies the Design of Wood Buildings
As part of an agreement with WoodWorks, RISA has expanded its popular design software to reflect the growing interest in non-residential wood buildings. Soon it will be easier than ever to lower the cost of your next building project while also choosing sustainably—and benefiting from wood’s other attributes such as design flexibility and speed of construction.
Scheduled for release at the end of this month, the update will include hybrid structure design, diaphragm design, lateral force design, shear wall design and design codes. Current RISA license holders will receive the software as part of their regular updates as well as information on training opportunities. More
